AI Use Statement

This site reflects my own thinking. I use generative AI while I write and edit, as an assistant rather than an author. These days I mostly use Claude, and in the past I have also used ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Most of the time that means research and finding sources, which I check myself, and line editing for clarity. Sometimes it means help with structure, when I have more ideas than shape. The argument and the judgment about what is worth saying are mine, as is anything drawn from my own experience. I have written elsewhere about why I use AI and why I am open about it.

I review and edit every piece and approve the final text before it goes live. Editorial responsibility for everything on this site is mine.

Unless a caption says otherwise, article images are generated with AI. I mostly use Claude now, and older images were made with OpenAI's tools or made or finished in Canva. They are chosen to illustrate an idea rather than to document a real scene, and I do not publish generated images of real people, places, or events in a way that could be taken as a photograph.
